Our Team

Andy Augenblick is Vice Chairman of Emigrant Bank, Head of Commercial Real Estate and President of Emigrant Bank Fine Art Finance. Prior to joining Emigrant, he was the President and co-owner of the Related Companies, L.P., a privately held real estate and investment company. Before joining Related in 1985, Mr. Augenblick worked at McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Augenblick is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School.

Russ Wyman is responsible for managing the Emigrant Realty Finance team’s origination, structuring, underwriting, and asset management efforts. Before joining Emigrant Realty Finance in 2005, Mr. Wyman spent five years as a Vice President and Relationship Manager with GE Capital Real Estate where he underwrote REIT transactions and low income housing tax credit transactions. Prior to GE Capital, Mr. Wyman spent four years at Citibank and Citicorp Real Estate where he worked on syndicated corporate investment grade debt, and then joined the Real Estate Capital Markets Group to focus on commercial real estate transactions. Before Citibank, Mr. Wyman worked as Staff Attorney/ Assistant Treasurer at Kredietbank N.V. (now KBC) and as an account officer for the Real Estate/Structured Finance team.

Mr. Wyman holds a BA Double Major in Economics and Law from Lafayette College and a JD from Fordham University School of Law.

Michael Broido as General Counsel – Commercial Real Estate supervises the closing of all transactions undertaken by Emigrant Realty Finance. Mr. Broido has practiced law for over fifty years specializing in commercial real estate and, in particular, commercial real estate finance. Prior to joining Emigrant in 2007, Mr. Broido spent 15 years as Chief Real Estate and Business Services Counsel to Citibank. Prior to that, Mr. Broido was in private practice, including over 10 years as a partner in Schulte Roth & Zabel. Mr. Broido is a Fellow in both the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys.

Mr. Broido is an honors graduate of the George Washington University Law School and a graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania.

Rebeca Johnston is responsible for originating, structuring, underwriting and asset managing real estate financings for all asset classes and debt products in all major markets throughout the U.S. Prior to joining Emigrant in 2009, Ms. Johnston was a Director at Credit Agricole for 13 years. Ms. Johnston also held previous positions at Bank of New York and Citibank. Rebeca holds active roles in Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and New York Women Executives in Real Estate (WX).

Ms. Johnston holds a BS in Marketing from St. John’s University and an MBA in Finance from St. John’s University.

Eric Roseman is responsible for the sourcing, negotiating, structuring and closing of senior commercial real estate loans and note-on-note transactions for all asset classes in major markets throughout the U.S. He also focuses on the asset management of portfolio loans. Prior to joining Emigrant in 2008, Mr. Roseman was a credit analyst for two years on the CMBS Trading Desk at Bear Stearns. Before Bear Stearns, Mr. Roseman spent three years as a land use planner in the private and public sectors.

Mr. Roseman holds a BA from Colgate University and an MS in Real Estate from New York University.

Samit Mody is responsible for sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and asset-managing real estate financings for all types of asset classes and debt products in all major markets throughout the U.S. Prior to joining Emigrant Realty Finance in 2009, Mr. Mody was at NY Credit Advisors, a high-yield commercial real estate debt fund.

Mr. Mody holds a BSBA from Washington University in St. Louis and an MS from New York University. Mr. Mody is also a CFA charterholder.

Benjamin Strober is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring and executing real estate debt investment opportunities. He is also responsible for actively managing a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate loans and bank premises. Prior to Emigrant, Mr. Strober was an Associate at Landesbank Baden Wurttemberg (LBBW) focused on origination and asset management of loans to primarily institutional clients. Prior to LBBW, Mr. Strober worked at CIBC where he was involved in origination transactions of CMBS and balance sheet loans.

Mr. Strober holds a BBA degree from the University of Florida and an MBA from New York University.

Suzanne Finch is responsible for sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and asset management of deals in addition to portfolio management for Emigrant Realty Finance. Prior to joining Emigrant Realty Finance in 2019, Mrs. Finch spent five years at Spring11 (now part of Newmark) where she underwrote CMBS and agency loans and had onsite consulting engagements at JPMorgan, Macquarie, and Cantor Commercial Real Estate.

Mrs. Finch holds a BA in Markets and Culture and minors in both English and Spanish from Southern Methodist University.

Chad Terc is responsible for sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and asset management of deals in addition to portfolio management for Emigrant Realty Finance. Before joining Emigrant Realty Finance in 2023, Mr. Terc spent two years at CIBC where he underwrote and originated balance sheet loans for the bank’s institutional clients. Prior to CIBC, Mr. Terc spent one year at New York Community Bank (now Flagstar) where he was responsible for underwriting and closing balance sheet loans.

Mr. Terc holds a BBA in Finance and a minor in History from the University of Massachusetts.

Dianne Ralph is responsible performing KYC, regulating post-closing deliverables, generating internal compliance reports and maintaining the department loan files. Prior to joining Emigrant Realty Finance in 2018, Ms. Ralph was a Senior Commercial Real Estate Paralegal at Paul Hastings LLP. Before Paul Hastings, Ms. Ralph was a Commercial/Residential Real Estate Paralegal at Milbank LLP. Prior to Milbank, Ms. Ralph worked at Torys LLP for 7 years, first as a Paralegal in Commercial Real Estate, and later for the Litigation/Bankruptcy department.

Ms. Ralph holds a BA in History from Hofstra University and is a New York State Notary Public.
